It all starts early this April, people invite me to the telegram group of fighters. Lol I got a bit uneasy to be in the group since I had left this taekwon do thing for quite some years except for the TTS ( tempur tanpa senjata ) that we are obligated to learn in this military academy.
Some quick background of me in this sport. Long before I trained Taekwon-Do in tengkera, melaka. Where Sir Daniel, Sir Eddie, Miss Dolyn, Madam Emily teaches there. I don't know if they still teaching there. That time, i'm joining GTF. But now only in military we learn WTF style. and it is a lot different in term of taeguk. Here I'm very lucky to have all these people who are very good in this sport. They train like hell and no wonder victory most of the time. This month due to the annual event of Kukiwon, I participated in it.
Adapting fast due to unspecified date of event. Stamina, flexibility, endurance, strength, art and imagination. Well this sport involve a lot of physical contact (sparring) for sure but what makes it's fun is the way we react and the ideas of getting the points. Well i'm not writing this to share "What is taekwon do" and sort. just a little bit of intros there.
After getting an invitation, I suddenly got interested in joining the team. At first, i've been trained for taeguk, which is the art and style of martial arts. the stances, movements, power and techniques.
Later on, i can say last min offer, manager and coach put me for individual sparring. Excited but nervous because I haven't join the sparring training for 3 days. Should be scared thou since my biggest rival is a most famous and renowed silat fighter, Tn Chin.
But I set my will, set my niat. I join this to learn the martial art. I need to learn to defend myself and the people i love. Therefore to protect, but Allah is the Protector of those who have faith.
Sekalung penghargaan buat rakan seperjuangan. Especially Tn Sulu and Tn Ipan for coaching and guiding the team. HAWK's team members for assisting them. Team managers, Squads, Seniors, Juniors and supporters.
