Alhamdulillah. I'm thankful for today achievement. It's really a tiring work tho. The story begins as I'm palnning to go out today due to my bank card problems. So i should grab the chance given to buy the ingredients needed to cook for today. So i bought some vegies and chillies. Rice, paste and etc have been bought earlier before. Also I bought the knife and cutting board, doing the traditional way as it is way cheaper. But I need to consider having that chopper to cut things and mix them up much faster. haha but i might loss the skills of chopping the onions, sobs.
That evening after I came back, i tried to cook for around 8 person and it tastes so good and a bit spicy as I add in some white pepper. hehe. I gave free 6 packets of nasi goreng to my friends as a promotion and to let them taste it. Later on, they ask for more tonight after rollcall. few of them have locked their order for tonight. And I started to cook for 12 people. the first and biggest amount I've ever cook for. So I made 20 packs. 12 sold and another 8 I giveaway as promotion and tester
So there are some few thing I learnt today.
1. Prepare earlier
This one refer to documentation. I should have made the permission letter earlier that night so that I will not waste my time which result in rushing and creating troubles to other people. Inform the person holding the rank's stamp
early so we can easily find them. Also, you will not get frustrated if any last minute rejection, haha
2. To-buy list is a must
Never go shoping without you buying list as this may lead to impulsive purchase. Besides, you might get depressed as you forget to buy while your are near that place for quite some time. By having your buying list either on your notes or your phone will save a lot of your time and giving you a clear vision of the things you need to buy
3. Try until you get it
I cook before but end up with disasterous taste. I can barely swallow the plain boring nasi goreng i've made for the first time with that pressure cooker. Then, the rice end up in the trash can. But the next day i kept on trying after making some improvision. Adding mix vegies, chillies, peppers, onions and etc, I managed to cook quite tasty nasi goreng for myself. Alhamdulillah I'm full
4. Sharing is caring
Give your friends to try it for free and make them comment on your food. Is there any lackings and ask them for how much they willing to pay for that food, this will help you do the survey on pricing and value.
5. Be honest in business
Sometimes there are time when you have trouble dealing with you potential or customers either they might condemned you or simply bad-mouth on you, just keep calm and have faith in Allah. Do your best and take all the customers' complaint as a gift. Remember to appriciate them well
